Details for: Sinking of H.M.S. Natal

Historical Data:
H.M.S. Natal was a Duke of Edinburgh class armoured cruiser. While in the Cromarty Firth, on 30 December 1915, without warning she exploded with the loss of up to 400 hands. It is probable that the accident was due to faulty cordite catching fire and igniting a magazine.
