On the right are listed the individual events and incidents, such as battles or air raids. For each conflict the total number of casualties are given, whereas for each event or incident the names of those who died are listed in alphabetical order.

Details for: Air raids on Monday 28th July 1941


Historical Data:
Air raid on the night of Sunday 27th and Monday 28th July 1941. Seven High Explosive bombs caused damage in Mildmay Park and Balls Pond Road. A) A bomb hit Messrs. Bovril Ltd., 114 Balls Pond Road causing slight damage to the roof. B) A bomb landed in front of 10 Mildmay Park demolishing the house and partially demolishing nos.8 and 12. C) A bomb hit at the rear of 17 Mildmay Park damaging the rear and upper part of the house. D) a bomb fell in the garden at the rear of 19 Mildmay Park. The rear and upper part was damaged. The building was also damaged by the bomb that destroyed nos.21 and 23. E) A bomb hit nos.21 and 23, demolishing both houses. F) Two bombs fell in the garden at the rear of 21 Mildmay Park demolishing an Anderson shelter and the gardens walls around. Seven lives were lost in 21 and 23 Mildmay Street.
