Details for: Sinking of HMS Penelope


Historical Data:
HMS Penelope was an Arethusa class light cruiser. On 18th February 1944 she was leaving Naples to return to the Anzio area when she was torpedoed by U-410. Her after engine was hit and sixteen minutes later another torpedo struck her after boiler room. She sunk immediately with the loss of 415 crew. There were 206 survivors.
