Details for: Sinking of H.M. Trawler Stella Capella.

While serving in the 41st Anti-Submarine Group based in Iceland, H.M. Trawler Stella Capella was hit by a torpedo from U-701 at 02.11 hours on 11 March 1942. She sank in 2 minutes and 30 seconds with the loss of the commander, three officers and 29 ratings. William Astley died eight days later of his injuries.
