Details for: Sinking of HMS Manistee


Historical Data:
The HMS Manistee was an armed Ocean Boarding Vessel. She formedd part of Convoy OB-288 sailing from Liverpool on 19th February 1941. The convoy dispersed on 23rd February in the North Atlantic between Iceland and Ireland due to u-boat activity. That night she was attacked by U-107 and the Italian submarine Bianchi. After an eight-hour battle, she was sunk south if Iceland. None of the 141 crew survived.
