Details for: Sinking of HMS Curacoa

HMS Curacoa was a C Class light cruiser. On 2 October 1942, she was in collision with SS Queen Mary carrying 20,000 American servicemen while escorting her off the north coast of Ireland. HMS Curacoa was sliced in two and sank within minutes. There were 99 survivors from a crew of 338.
