Details for: Convoy FS622 - sinking of the SS Empire Ghyll


Historical Data:
The SS Empire Ghyll was a 2,011tn collier en route from Sunderland to London when, on Saturday 18th October 1941, she was sunk by a mine southwest of Harwich in the Barrow Deep, Thames Estuary. She was part of convoy FS622. Five crew and two gunners were lost.
