Details for: Damage to SS Box Hill

The S.S. Box Hill, a steamer, was travelling from St. John, New Brunswick to Hull when she was struck by a mine in the North Sea off the east coast of England on the 31st December 1939. 20 crew were killed but it appears that the ship was not sunk but continued in service until 1946.
