On the right are listed the individual events and incidents, such as battles or air raids. For each conflict the total number of casualties are given, whereas for each event or incident the names of those who died are listed in alphabetical order.

Details for: Air raids on Saturday 19th February 1944


Historical Data:
During the night of the Friday 18th and Saturday 19th February 1944, the largest raid was launched against London since May 1941. Over 120 aircraft attacked Britain, 25 of which headed for London. A number of properties were damaged in Islington. Aberdeen Park, Ashby Grove, Ironmonger Row, Methodist School Shelter on Radnor Street, Petherton Road, Poet's Road, St. Paul's Road and Thorepdale Road were hit with the loss of 43 lives, 23 of these in Thorpedale Road.
