Details for: Air raids on Saturday 26th October 1940


Historical Data:
Saturday 26th October 1940. During the day few enemy aircraft were able to penetrate as far as London. At night Birmingham and London were the main targets, though London was on the alert until the early morning due to individual aircraft. 74 people died in London and 93 elsewhere. A number of properties were damaged in Islington. Collier Street and Northdown Street were hit with the loss of three lives.
