Historical Data:
Saturday 19th October 1940. Enemy activity by day was on a reduced scale than previously, being limited to an attack on London by fighters. At night the main attacks were against London, Coventry and Merseyside. Casualties in London were the heaviest since the night of 15th/16th October, due to the widespread bombing rather than any individual incidents. 177 Londoners were killed and 18 were killed elsewhere. In Islington, Avenall Road, Arsenal Stadium, Liverpool Road, Pemberton Gardens and St. John's Grove were hit with the loss of 12 lives. The Luftwaffe lost two aircraft this day.
