Historical Data:
Monday 14th October 1940. Enemy activity on the country during the day was on a small scale. Enemy activity by night was concentrated on London and Coventry. 172 people were killed in London this day. A number of streets were damaged in Islington. Bath Street, Bonhill Street, Isledon Road, Liverpool Road, Marriott Road, Packington Street, Southgate Road, Sparsholt Road and St. John's Way were hit with the loss of 24 lives. The Luftwaffe lost three aircraft this day.
