Historical Data:
Monday 7th October 1940. A number of raids penetrated as far as East London and Central London during the day. At night enemy activity was on a large scale. London, as well as Manchester and Liverpool, was raided for three hours. 76 people died in London. A number of properties were damaged in Islington. Tollington Park, Tollington Way and Trinder Road were hit with the loss of ten lives. 19 enemy aircraft were destroyed.
